Glow

make your avatar an animated GIF ✧

1 min readupdated jul 2026

static avatars are fine. moving avatars are a personality. here's how to get one spinning on your page, it takes about a minute (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ

  1. open your dashboard
open Design in the sidebar; the Profile section is shown first. your current avatar is the big round thing, click it.
  2. drop in your GIF
drag a .gif or .webp into the upload dialog. anything up to 8 MB works, and you'll see a live preview so you can vibe-check it.
  3. save & flex
hit save, and your page updates instantly, everywhere. that's literally it ✧

animated too: avatars can be animated .gif / .webp for everyone (up to 8 MB); we keep the motion and shrink the file.

tip: square GIFs under 8 MB look best. we auto-crop to a circle, so keep the cute stuff centered.

Glow+ perk: the animated ring around your avatar picks up your theme colors and spins, pulses or shimmers. it's very extra. we love it.
