cursors, trails & effects ✧

the little touches that make a page feel alive: drifting particles, a glowing avatar ring, a cursor trail, click bursts, a pixel pet, an animated name and more ✧

these all live in the Design tab, in the Effects section. each picker shows a little moving preview of every option, and the Live preview switch at the top runs your picks right there on the page. a taste of each is free for everyone (marked below); the rest are Glow+ cosmetics. mix and match freely:

on the free plan you can still pick and preview every Glow+ look; when you save, glow lists them so you can save without them or unlock Glow+.

effect packs: a whole set in one tap, Sakura Dream, Starry Night, Neko Café, Arcade Rush or Cozy Winter. fine-tune anything after.

background effects: ambient particles behind your page, Snow, Rain, Sparkles (free), Petals, Sakura, Hearts, Stars, Confetti, Bubbles, Fireflies, Music notes, Code rain, Embers, Bokeh, Shooting stars or Meteor shower. or pick Seasonal and it swaps itself by the time of year.

particle interaction: the particles run away from a visitor's pointer, or drift toward it.

react to music: flip it on and the particles pulse to your profile music (or a video's audio) while it plays.

ambient overlay: a full-page cinematic filter, Film grain, Scanlines, CRT, Light leaks, Vignette, Aurora, Noir (black & white) or VHS.

avatar ring: an animated ring around your avatar, Glow, Spin, Pulse, Gradient, Rainbow, Neon, Flame, Segments, Dashed, Orbit or Heartbeat.

avatar decoration: something cute on top of your picture, Cat ears (free), Bunny ears, Halo, Horns, Crown, Bow or a Flower crown. works with any ring.

username effect: style your display name, Glow, Gradient, Shine, Rainbow, Glitch, Wave, Neon flicker, Chrome, Typewriter, Outline or 3D.

cursor trail: a stream that follows your pointer, Sparkles (free), Hearts, Petals, Stars, Bubbles, Music notes, Snow, Butterflies, Rainbow, Comet, Spotlight, or your own Custom emoji. pick its color and make it short or long.

click effect: a little burst wherever a visitor clicks or taps, Sparkles (free), Hearts, Stars, Confetti, Sakura or Bubbles.

hover effect: how your links and buttons react under the pointer, Lift (free), Jelly, Glow, Wobble or Bounce.

bio effect: how your bio shows up when the page opens, Word by word (free), Typewriter or a soft Glow.

pet: a pixel buddy that follows the visitor's cursor, runs, curls up for a nap when they stop and makes a happy face when tapped. pick a Cat, Bunny, Fox, Chick, Calico, Midnight cat, Pony, Slime or Ghost (Slime and Ghost are free). give it a name (visitors see it when they tap it) and, with Glow+, one of 20+ hats (a spinning propeller cap, a witch hat, a seasonal hat that changes with the month, a Halloween pumpkin while it lasts), a hat color of your own and glasses. some badges also unlock a hat or glasses of their own (a platinum crown, a gamer headset, 3D glasses and more): those are yours to wear on any plan, and the Badges page shows what each badge gives.

cursor: swap the pointer itself for a Heart, Star or Sparkle, or upload your own tiny image.

entrance: how your page arrives, Fade, Rise, Pop or Drop in on load.

card tilt: a 3D holographic tilt that leans toward the mouse (on card layouts like Deck and Arcade).

night mode (free): from 8 pm to 6 am in your time zone (set it under Profile), your page dims a little and stars come out.

secret word (free): when a visitor types your word anywhere on your page, confetti rains down.

next door in Background & music: the music equalizer, a ring that pulses around your avatar to your track, and music motion, where your page moves with the song (Beat pulse, Glow and Avatar ring on Simple and Deck; Background zoom and Color drift on every layout).

everything is tasteful by default and calms down automatically for visitors who have reduced motion turned on, so you never annoy anyone.
